Xiaomi Redmi Note 2: Comming Soon
This could be an important week for Xiaomi fans since the company should introduce a new phone and we don’t know exactly what it is going to be. There are rumors that it could be Mi 5 or Mi 5 plus and there are also many indications that it is going to be Redmi Note 2.
Chinese certification authority called TENAA got its hands on Redmi Note where it passed a certification for the local market.
It is certain that there are going to be two versions for the phone. The first one should have an octa-core chipset MediaTek MT6795 and the second one Snapdragon 615.
MediaTek MT6795 is a high-performance SoC which satisfies multimedia requirements of even the most demanding users, featuring multimedia subsystems that support technologies like 120Hz displays and the capability to create and playback 480 frames per second (fps) 1080p Full HD Super-Slow Motion videos.
Snapdragon 615 is the industry’s first octa-core 64-bit capable CPU architecture, featuring integrated advanced 4G LTE for the optimal balance of performance and power, along with an RF Front End solution, for virtually seamless communications and outstanding battery life.
MediaTek chipset should be significantly faster than the Snapdragon, but on the other hand, many users favor Snapdragon because of their excellent GPS reception. Recently, there have been a great improvements when it comes to GPS reception and MediaTek chipsets and if this trend continues it is possible that Snapdragon will soon lose its lead.
Both versions of this phone should have 2 GB of RAM with 16 or 32 GB of internal storage space. Redmi Note 2 should feature a 13 MPx rear facing camera and 5 MPx front facing one for self-portraits and video conversations.
Note 2 is 5.5 inches in diameter with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.
3020 mAh battery will provide a plenty of juice for everyone including power users and those who spend their whole day talking on the phone.
The phone seems to be made completely out of plastic with no metal elements being visible. This should not a be a real problem since Xiaomi is known for their high build quality and plastics, but it makes the phone seem just a little bit cheaper. On the other hand, it also means less weight and that is always a bonus.
It will be interesting to see how the phone will look like in the and also how the two version will differ. We should know everything in detail on 17th of this month.
