Komik Reader will satisfy all minimalists out there. The app was designed specifically for tablets and phones and has a sleek-looking user interface and design.
So far, the app supports CBR, CBZ, and image directories. Not as much as the previous apps, but still plenty for most cases. ZIP and RAR support would be a great addition as these formats are very popular among users who create their own comic book archives.
Other handy features include comic book collection browser with thumbnails, quick zoom, page thumbnails to quickly scan through comics, continuous bookmarking for all comics, dual-spread pages, and more features are coming in the near future.
Open Comic Reader

Open Comic Reader is aimed at those who hate ads and do not want to pay for a simple comic book reader. Do not get me wrong. The previous comic book readers offer some excellent functionality that truly comes in handy and is worth paying for. That being said, sometimes, all you want to do is to just fire app a simple app and dive right into your favorite comic book without any distractions. If that is the case then Open Comic Reader has you covered.
It requires only bare minimum permissions, supports ZIP, CBZ, RAR, CBR, and image folders, has page preloading functionality, useful gestures, and even supports library filtering and issue grouping.
Challenger Comics Viewer

Challenger Comics Viewer is free, simple, and does many of what some other pay-to-use applications do.
To start of, it supports a large number of image and archive formats including JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP (Android 4.0+), BMP, PDF, CBZ/ZIP, CBR/RAR, CBT/TAR, CB7/7Z, and ePUB. Challenger Comics Viewer also features automatic page loading, zoom using multi-touch gestures, vertical and horizontal scrolling, scale filters, border cropping, and much much more.
The only negative thing about this great app is its outdated UI. If the developer decides to do some major redesign then I would absolutely not hesitate to put Challenger Comics Viewer at the top of our list.
